ABOUT AXEL CASTRO
Axel is a film composer based in Boston, Massachusetts studying film composition and conducting at Berklee College of Music. He believes that telling a story is more than a form of entertainment or the realization of a childhood fantasy. He believes that to tell a story is to understand our own human experiences and to also understand the points of view of others in a way that accentuates the beauty of life.
Along with his time at Berklee, he studied for three years at The University of Florida working with industry professionals on music for media. He was also accepted into the NYU Scoring Intensive program for film, TV, and video games where he worked with industry professionals on how to score a film, work with directors, and manage the entertainment industry.
Axel is extremely dedicated to excellence and delivering the highest quality work possible and is eager to take on new projects and work with talented directors around the world.
- Carnegie Hall World Premiere for New England Symphonic Ensemble
- Resident Co-Music Producer at Hayden 5, an Inc. Magazine Top Entertainment Business company in 2022 Power Partner firm.
- Collaborated with multi Grammy® award winner Dr. Jose Valentino Ruiz on the Scent of Cent commercial for media production company Hayden 5.
- Wrote original music for Award Winning show, "The Sounds of the Season" conducted and directed by an internationally recognized conductor, Willard Kesling.
- Placed top 12% of Indie Film Music contest in 2022
